Positive Technologies researchers to present at Critical Infrastructure, Protection and Resilience Europe 2016
Positive Technologies, a leading information security research house and developer of operational technology (OT) and IT security solutions, are delighted to announce that its European ICS Security Manager, Mr. Paolo Emiliani, will be presenting at this year’s annual “Critical Infrastructure, Protection and Resilience Europe” event. The conference will take place March 2nd and 3rd, at The Hague, Netherlands.
In order to mount a sufficient defense against cyberattacks on critical infrastructure, players within the affected sectors need to have a strategy that takes into account the issues raised by the meeting and convergence of IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) or where Information Technology meets engineering technology.
In this presentation, Mr. Emiliani will discuss the convergence of IT and OT and its effect on the threat landscape which raises such issues as: Can you hack a digital substation using the telecom network or, indeed, hijack a high speed train?
Session Title: Hacking Critical Infrastructure becomes easier and easier every day. Is there a defence to the attack?
