Positive Technologies Confirms MokDong Ko as new Korean MD

Appointment reaffirms Positive Technologies expansion plans in this region and beyond

Positive Technologies - a leading global provider of enterprise security solutions for vulnerability and compliance management, incident and threat analysis, and application protection, has today confirmed the appointment of MokDong Ko as Managing Director of its Korean operations. She brings with her over 27 years’ experience in the IT and Security industry and will lead the growth of the business from the Seoul offices working both directly with customers and also further developing the channel program.

Speaking about the appointment, EVP Business Development of Positive Technologies said, “MokDong joins us from Citrix and brings with her a wealth of insight at this important time in the organisation’s expansion in this key region. Her proven experience in a number of roles combined with her technical background make her a valuable asset both to us and by extension to our customers. MokDong will have overall responsibility for managing relationships in this region, as well driving consultations with key industry partners – particularly in the areas of SCADA and Industrial Control Systems, and Telecom security”.

MokDong has a keen understanding of both software and hardware technology, with particular focus of virtualization, cloud, network, ADC and security technologies. Her previous roles include senior sales roles with Extreme Networks and 3COM. MokDong began her career as a network engineer with Trigem Computer Company.

Ms Ko adds, “Research is at the core of everything Positive Technologies builds and produces, a belief that I find inspirational. We should always be curious, looking for ways to do things differently and improve our security posture. Positive Technologies’ solutions are testament to this foundation and I’m looking forward to helping Korean organisations successfully strengthen their defences. I personally am looking forward to formalising Positive Technologies go to market model in Korea, working with those I have an established relationship with and finding new business opportunities. We plan to introduce a managed service business model to help all organisations of all sizes, from SMBs to large Enterprise, strengthen their security posture, across both public and private sectors.”
