Positive Technologies accelerates international growth with senior hires

Key appointments strengthen go-to-market strategy and open up new partner options across EMEA and US

International cybersecurity company Positive Technologies today announced the appointment of three senior hires to support global growth.

Mark Kirwan joins the team as VP of EMEA and Steve Moscarelli as VP of Sales, Americas. Both will spearhead the company's sales efforts in respective markets to help capitalize on the growing need for application security amongst senior security professionals trying to decrease brand and financial risk.

Tasked with strengthening and expanding its partner program, Monty Hossain has also been appointed to a new role as VP, OEM & Technology Alliances to develop strategic agreements that help broaden the footprint for Positive Technologies machine learning based approach.

Speaking about these appointments, Executive VP at Positive Technologies said, "Our rate of growth internationally continues to accelerate, something which will be supported by these hires. Demand is being driven by the growing number of attacks on web applications, putting the companies and critical infrastructure providers, which underpin our daily lives, at risk from downtime, reputational damage, financial loss, and action from regulators.

"We have added senior hires to our team to help execute on the next phase of our growth, and are delighted to welcome Mark, Steve, and Monty on board."

Mark Kirwan joins Positive Technologies from Arbor Networks—the security division of Netscout. While with Netscout, Mark held the position of BT Global Account Director, so he is used to developing strategic relationships with customers, ensuring targets are met and projects delivered.

Based in Positive Technologies' Boston office, Steve Moscarelli has worked in network security for many years, having held senior positions with Tufin Technologies and Check Point Software. He was also President of ISSA—New England Chapter, the Information Systems Security Association.

Monty Hossain will be based in the company’s West Coast office. In recent years, he has held positions at Salesforce.com, Apttus, MuleSoft, and Adobe, where he specialized in developing strategic alliances designed to deliver results for end-users.
