Product description

Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) is a security policy management and control platform.

Vulnerability description

The specialists of the Positive Research center have detected a vulnerability related with abuse of functionality in Cisco ISE web interface.

Any user authenticated via web interface can download arbitrary files from their backend operating system using a specific URL. When the URL is referred to, the specified file is being deleted on the backend OS file system even if the user cancels the download. At this point, using a CSRF vector, a remote attacker can provide a specially crafted link to provoke the legitimate user to erase sensitive system files and make the system inoperable.
