Platform description

Huawei SGSN USN9810 is a unified service node designed by Huawei. It can be used in the 2.5G General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) system, 3G Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS), and evolved packet core (EPC) system.

Vulnerability description

The specialists of the Positive Research center have detected an Access Restrictions Bypassing vulnerability in Huawei SGSN USN9810.

The platform does not provide sufficient entropy in session identifiers. This allows an attacker to brute force the current ID to bypass the authorization mechanisms and thus obtain access to the administrator session.
