Software description

Serv-U File Server is a Windows and Linux based multi-protocol FTP, HTTP and SFTP file server.

Vulnerability description

The specialists of the Positive Research center have detected Multiple Cross-Site Scripting vulnerabilities in Serv-U File Server.

The application does not perform sufficient validation of parameters, which are sent by client and used in HTM scripts. This vulnerability allows an attacker to execute an arbitrary JavaScript code in user's browser session, conduct content spoofing or redirect traffic to an arbitrary resource via tricking a user into clicking a specially crafted link.
