Software description

Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security is designed to protect ATM and POS systems, as well as other Windows Embedded systems against viruses and cyber threats.

Vulnerability description

The specialists of the Positive Research center have detected a Security Restrictions Bypass vulnerability in Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security.

Vulnerability in the Application Control component of Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security allows attackers to gain privileges and execute arbitrary applications, which are not in the whitelist, by overloading the service and causing timeout of the executable file check.
